What is the difference between private and public data?

Private data is information that only you — and any team members you authorize — can access. It stays within your personal workspace and is protected by our security systems, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and strict access controls. This includes things like your projects, uploads, drafts, and settings.

Public data, in the context of Your Music Tools, refers to any data you choose to make accessible through your EPK (Electronic Press Kit). This can include your biography, photos, videos, audio files, links, and more.

You're always in control:
Every photo, video, or other media item can be marked as either public (included in your EPK) or private (kept hidden from public view). Nothing is made public unless you specifically choose to share it.

So, in short:

  • Private = for your eyes (and your team’s) only

  • Public = what you choose to share in your EPK

We make it easy to manage visibility so you can present your music the way you want.
